TCGNOW was founded by Nick Lai, starting from a simple hobby of collecting trading cards with his kids. Through this experience, it became clear that the local trading card scene lacked a dedicated, trustworthy platform where collectors could confidently buy and sell cards online.

Many collectors in Malaysia faced challenges such as limited access to quality products, inconsistent listings, and uncertainty when participating in online transactions. TCGNOW was created to address these issues by introducing a more structured, transparent, and collector-focused platform.
